The HeadHunters are an old unit with strong ties to the Inner Sphere and House Davion. We are a strong unit with a long history and a rigid code of honor. We are a close unit, more family than most units. Many of us have played together for more then several years (Some have been around over 15-20 yrs). We value loyalty above all.We had our beginnings on Genie game service playing EGA:3025 Under the Leader and founder MegaTech and his XO Batleth. The HeadHunter name was not indoctrinated until the move to AOL there the HeadHunters grew to 300 strong. The Commanders of the Headhunters where Megatech, Batleth, Raven, Power, Memnoch, Jaxom, Havok, Helix, Skyblade, Skywalker, Alley Cat. Others that came quickly into the ranks were Hawkeye, Dexter, and Red Viper. The Headhunters had a full Regiment with all Battalions and Companies filled. Shortly after that due to the growth of the HH, the regiment was split into two regiments. There was Marlette and Grim Determination. Marlette was a light to medium regiment and the Grim Determination was the heavy to assault regiment. Colonel Memnoch led the Marlette, Alley Cat lead the Grim Determination. Havok and Helix wrote the original HeadHunter manual that everything is still based on todayOn AOL’s Multiplayer Battle Tech: Solaris (MPBT) we played there as one of the strongest units in the game. Respected through out the Inner Sphere. When AOL implemented pay-for-play premium on the game, Solaris took a major falling out, and lost many key personnel. Batleth who had long been retired was no longer there and with this last shot by AOL the original Founder of the HH, Colonel Megatech, who at that time was a PDZ commander retired from the game along with his XO, Raven. This left Memnoch with his XO, Dexter, to handle the Marlette and Grim Determination while keeping the HH name alive. Red Viper was given the Command of the HH , although there was not much left with the AOL stunt, and what was left of the HH was scattered. Then the HeadHunters moved to Gamestorm’s MPBT: Solaris, led by then Colonel Red Viper. Col. Red Viper retired immediately after coming over to GameStorm, Where Col. Memnoch assumed command. There, with LftCol. Dexter and Angmar, the HeadHunters regained their strength. It is here when the Small but determined group would bring the HH back to glory. With Members like Hawkeye, X-men, Angmar, Dexter, DarkBringer, Ghost, and many more, the Team started to rebuild.During the ill-fated MPBT and BT3025 T-91, Aahz, BlackSunshine, Mustang, and others helped keep the HH pushing for excellence and helped make them a power house again on Solaris. Col. Memnoch later was knighted and was HH’s only knight for some time! Since then X-men has been Knighted, making the HH’s second knight and with the nomination of Dexter to the Knighthood, it will only be a matter of time before the next knight emerges from the HH. But EA.com had other plans for the Game MPBT:3025. With the Death of MPBT:3025 once again the HH looked for the alternate universe of MW to play in.. They fought for several cycles in WarOnline!3062 before moving into the Empire League as WarOnline collapsed. Two years of intense combat followed in Empire..Next stop was Netbattletech's Hardcore League.. another planetary capture league. The HeadHunters served in their historical role as Mercenaries for the Federated Suns and their allies for several years and had a great time. Participation in that league slowly declined just as it had in others across the mech community, as the playerbase for MW4 grows smaller and smaller. Eventually, we went inactive in NBT. But could return at some point. At the same time, development, interest and participation in the "Inner Sphere Wars" logistical shell interface for Mechwarrior games was on the rise, and most of our focus eventually shifted there for quite some time. Aylward was heavily involved in the development process of this new platform for Planetary Capture, and contributed dozens of Mechwarrior 4 mission maps (done in Mechstorm's Netmech IV Mod and Mektek's 3.02B mod) with enhanced AI scripting to the cause and the community. House Davion was being rebuilt in anticipation of a working persistent inner sphere star map with planet conquest, economies, logistics and lots of PVP and PVE mech combat action. Col. Aylward was promoted up to the rank of Field Marshall, Serving as House Davion's Chief of Staff running combat operations for the House. He answered only to Marshall of the Armies Colokid and Prince Qin. Companies of Davion pilots were forming and active in this game as it struggled through an endless beta cycle. 1st Federated Suns Armored Cavalry, the newly reformed Grim Determination, and numerous other units were involved and initially very hopeful.Unfortunately, a dizzying array of never-ending financial, personality and developmental problems plagued the ISW project and eventually brought it crashing down several times. Last heard, There is still a small contingent of die-hards trying to resurrect it yet again, and get the part-time developer to finish the interface and release it, but Aylward and the rest of the HeadHunters have given up all hope of that project ever being finished or functional to ever release at this point, be it for MW4, BMH, MWLL or any other mod or game. Too many problems and rogue personalities that can't be resolved there will see to that, we believe.Currently, the HeadHunters are Lead by Col. Aylward and LftCol. Iron. We are involved in the Microsoft: MechWarrior 4 Mercenaries game and it's mods by Mechstorm and Mektek for mech combat as we await the new MechWarrior title recently announced by Smith and Tinker and perhaps sooner, Mechwarrior Living Legends.. We enjoy mech battle competition in the Mech Combat League. We eagerly await the new release by Jordan Weisman's group. This will be updated on a regular basis until the entire history of the HH is been published.
